Dead By Daylight Blight Killer Perks

The Blight has three unique perks that can be unlocked for other Killers via the Bloodweb.

Dragon’s Grip - When you kick a generator, Dragon’s Grip activates. The first Survivor who interacts with the Generator will scream and their location will be revealed for 4 seconds via a red aura. They’ll also suffer the Exposed Status Effect for 60 seconds. Dragon's Grip has a cool-down of 120/100/80 seconds.

Hex: Undying - When another Hex totem is cleansed, the Hex is transported to the Hex: Undying totem. However, any tokens earned will not be transferred. It’s secondary ability allows the Killer to see the aura of Survivors within 2/3/4 metres of any Dull totem.

Hex: Blood Favour - When you hit a Survivor with your Basic Attack, all Pallets within 16 metres from your location will be held up by The Entity - making it impossible for Survivors to pull them down. Hex: Blood Favour has a cooldown of 60/50/40 seconds.

What Is The Best Build & Perks For The Blight?

We would go with the following perks for the Best possible Build for The Blight:

Cruel Limits (The Demogorgon Perk)

  • Each time a Generator is repaired, all Windows and Vaults within 32 metres of the completed Generator will be blocked off for all Survivors for the next 20/25/30 seconds.

Bamboozle (The Clown Perk)

  • Performing a vault action is 5/10/15% faster and calls upon The Entity to block that Vault location for Survivors for 8/12/16 seconds.

Fire Up (The Nightmare Perk)

  • Each time a Generator is completed, Fire Up grows in power.
  • Gain a stackable 3/3.5/4% action speed bonus to picking up and dropping survivors, breaking pallets and breakable walls, damaging generators and vaulting windows up to a maximum of 15/17.5/20%.

Hex: Blood Favour (The Wraith Perk)

  • Hitting a survivor with your basic attack prompts the entity to hold all pallets within a radius of 16 metres from your location in place for the next 15 seconds preventing survivors from pulling them down.
  • Hex: Blood Favour has a cool-down of 60/50/40 seconds.

Dead By Daylight Blight Killer Power

The Blight’s power is called Blighted Corruption. With this power The Blight injects himself with Pustula serum. It enhances his powers and allows him to perform a ‘Rush’ - an ability that propels him forward to hit off objects and obstacles such as Walls, Pallets, Hooks, and even smaller things like crates, barrels, etc.

Once The Blight hits off an object for the first time, his Rush ability transforms into a Lethal Rush where, unlike previously, he can actually use his weapon to hit Survivors while rushing. If The Blight does not hit an object, he’ll go into a cooldown period for a short time.

The Blight starts with 5 tokens at the start of a Trial. With each Rush and Lethal Rush, he loses a token, and effectively goes into a Fatigue once all tokens are consumed. Much like other cooldown abilities, his tokens will regenerate over time.

The Blight is able to break Pallets and Breakable Walls if he slams into them while attacking. He can only do this when he is using a Lethal Rush.

Dead By Daylight Blight's Best Add-Ons

Each Killer comes with a number of different Add-Ons that’ll either improve the Killer’s base kit, or change it entirely for more fun and engaging gameplay. The Blight is no exception to this, so we’ve picked out the best Add-Ons for you to choose from.

Chipped Monocle - An effective add-on for players who’ve not used The Blight before. It allows you to see the target location of each Rush you do, making it easier for you to direct and navigate your movement in a way that shepherds Survivors into your waiting arms.

Vigo’s Journal - This add-on makes it so that when The Blight is using either his Rush or Lethal Rush he is granted the Undetectable Status Effect. This is incredible for sneaking up on Survivors, especially with perks like BBQ & Chilli and/or Discordance.

Compound Twenty-One - This add-on lets The Blight see the aura of Survivors when within 8 metres of the collision of each Slam. Their aura is revealed for 3.5 seconds and is great for perhaps spotting those sneaky Survivors trying to hide.Plague Vial - While this is only a yellow add-on, it is great for The Blight because it increases the turn rate of his Rush ability. With a better turn-rate, it’s a lot more possible for players to turn and knock Survivors down with their Lethal Rush attack.

Dead By Daylight Blight Killer Tips and Tricks

TIP #1 -The Blight is oddly effective with stealth builds, despite giving out a loud scream with each Lethal Rush attack. We recommend using Tinkerer in particular, as it allows him to rush over to the nearly completed generator while having the Undetectable status effect.

TIP #2 -You don’t have to constantly use your Rush ability. In tight loops where Survivors can hug corners or move around quickly, it’s best to just use your Basic Attack otherwise you could end up wasting your time and losing traction with the chase.

TIP #3 -The Blight is a highly mobile Killer, you don’t have to simply walk everywhere across the map. Use your ability to get to places quickly - sometimes it can make all the difference between getting a 2K and getting a 4K.

TIP #4 -Lethal Rush at Breakable Walls and Pallets - it’s much faster than slowing down, going through a Fatigue state and cooldown and then breaking the Pallet manually. It gives you more time to catch up to the Survivor too, which is exactly what you want when in a highly intense chase.

TIP #5 -If you’re using perks that require you to hit Survivors with a basic attack, then you should know that your Lethal Rush attack doesn’t count as one. For example, if you’re using Devour Hope or No One Escapes Death, a Lethal Rush doesn’t count as a Basic Attack, meaning you won’t benefit from the effects of those perks at all. Be aware of this!

TIP #6 -The Blight can be used during more open loops, but tight spaced loots can often lead you to losing Survivors in a chase or even getting stuck on something. Know when to Rush and when not to.
