Since launching in 2020, Call of Duty Warzone has proven to be a huge success with millions of players logging into the battle royale on a regular basis.

Since switching to the Pacific island of Caldera, the game has suffered from a number of bugs and glitches, much to the annoyance of the community, and just as fans started to process Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Call of Duty's battle royale series is set to expand, according to reports. Notable Call of Duty leaker Tom Henderson claims Pro Perks are appearing in Warzone 2. First appearing in 2009's Modern Warfare 2, Pro Perks add further abilities to the base version of Perks, adding even more versatility.

May 16, 2022:

A video from content creator 'NeroCinema' suggests Infinity Ward is making significant changes to Warzone 2. The YouTuber claims changes to Loadout Drops are in the works along with a new inventory system.

In addition, the leak claims Highrise from 2009's Modern Warfare 2 will be a new point of interest on the Warzone 2 map reportedly set in Columbia.

February 14, 2022:

Notable Warzone leaker @TheGhostOfHope has uncovered information surrounding the location and setting of the Warzone 2 map. The leaker claims the battle royale will head to the Atacama Desert. Players and fans should take leaks with pinch of salt but other leakers have corroborated similar information.

Warzone 2 Release Date

Contrary to reports suggesting Warzone 2 will launch in 2023, Activision has confirmed the next chapter of the battle royale will launch in 2022, after the release of Modern Warfare 2 on October 28.

Warzone 2 Map

Although nothing official on the Warzone 2 map has appeared, leaks surrounding its setting and layout are emerging. Twitter user "The MW2Ghost," has recreated a rough layout of the map which shows a river running down the middle of it in addition to a number of Stronghold locations.

In addition, a report from notable leaker Tom Henderson claims at least four classic maps from 2009's Modern Warfare 2 will feature as points of interest (POI).

The current list of maps include Favela, Quarry, Afghan, and Highrise implying there's a huge variety of terrain to navigate on the new map.

Within Activision Blizzard's 2021 financial results, the publisher has revealed Infinity Ward is developing a new "Warzone experience." It's likely that it could be a brand-new map for the current iteration of Warzone or the fresh start many rumours have suggested.

According to notable leaker Tom Henderson, Warzone 2 will be available on current-gen consoles and PC, meaning those with a PS4 or Xbox One won't be able to play the next Call of Duty battle royale.

On May 17, content creator 'NerosCinema' shares information they received from an unnamed source that tested Warzone 2. The video includes alleged details on a new inventory system, new points of interest on the map, and players needing to complete objectives in order to obtain a Loadout Drop.
